Dahlov Zorach Ipcar papers 1945-1986

Ipcar's papers focus on her work as an author and illustrator of children's books. The collection contains production material for 38 titles published between 1945-1986, and includes holographs, typescripts, galley and page proofs, research material, notes, sketches in as variety of media, dummies, layouts, proofs, color samples, notes, and miscellaneous material. There is also a substantial amount of correspondence to and from Dahlov Ipcar to publishers and editors, as well as correspondence from readers, both child and adult. The collection also includes miscellaneous material and art work, including work done for as theater poster and some for 'Child Life' magazine, as well as production material for unpublished titles, and material for an unpublished story by Ipcar's husband, Adolph, and some for a 'wall-newspaper' they put out, and art for an unpublished story by her brother Tessim, done as a child.
